i'm jas hice; i make comix
every wednesday i will give to you an all-new comic based on an episode of x-files that exists between reality & fantasy.
this byzantine project works like this: every week i watch an episode of the x-files. i pause the episode when i find a still image that i like and then i draw it. i also pause the episode when i find a string of words in the transcript that i like and i write them down. after this, i arrange the drawings and the words into a little bit of sequential art. it is not supposed to make sense or be all that meaningful. this is what i do for fun. i also make longform, original comix.
the paid version is for the most part just a kind gesture on your part: think "gratuity" type of thing. but you'll also have access to a back catalog of old blogs, poems, stories, and private comix.
don't read it alone! tell yr friends. thank you, i love you <3
the phrase “final repose” comes from the x-files season 3 episode “clyde bruckman's final repose” for which the writer of the episode and the titular clyde bruckman won emmys (accounting for two out of the three emmys that x-files has won, the other being gillian anderson for outstanding lead)
